Linen Pottery Apron, No Tie Split Leg Apron, Handmade Linen Pinafore by Bloem Linen
On request, here is a linen pottery, or split-leg apron.
Not only on request... when I purchased a throwing wheel last Summer, I soon learned how practical a pottery apron is. Especially being new at throwing clay, within a short period of time clay was everywhere, and not only on the floor.
What I find important in aprons in general, is that they don't have a pulling, tickling strap around the neck. So I made the apron with crossed straps on the back.
It is simply put on over the head and falls into place.
The apron has one pocket on the upper front and a big pocket on the leg.
In the photos I have it on the left leg but if you prefer the pocket on the right leg, that is no problem, just let me know by leaving me a message.
In the photos I show the potters apron in grey, it seemed like a good color to choose for this apron, but I have lots of other colors of linen in stock you can choose from.
In general the apron is a one size fits all.
However, if you have doubts, don't hesitate to write, I will gladly reply and / or customize the apron for you.
The measurements of the apron are
- circumference of hips 92 cm / 36"
- length from shoulder to hem is around 90 cm / 35"
Don't hesitate to write me if you have questions.

The eco-friendly linen is pre-washed and won't shrink when washed. The more you wash it, the softer and more beautiful it becomes.
Flax needs no pest control and little water, that is why it is more eco-friendly than other fabrics.
Linen is a natural antibacterial, almost anti-static and dirt repellent.
It can absorb humidity up to 35% without giving a sensation of wetness.
The fabric is certainly prone to wrinkle easily but has a natural shine and strength.
Just like silk, linen has both heating (insulating) and cooling qualities. That is why linen is also suitable to wear during the colder months of the year.
Flax washes at best at a temperature up to 30°C in washing machines with low spinning option. For black linen I would recommend adding a little vinegar. And hang in the shade to dry.
Due to the natural characteristics of linen and the dyeing process, colors may vary slightly from roll to roll.
